Building great products depends on great people. More than 5 years went in the brainstorming behind the tools that you will use every day. Find out more about what it’s like to be a part of Xanthium.

Our Culture

It’s really the people that make Xanthium the kind of company it is. We hire people who are smart and determined, and we favor ability over experience. Although Xanthians share common goals and visions for the company, we hail from all walks of life and speak dozens of languages, reflecting the global audience that we serve. And when not at work, Xanthians pursue interests ranging from cycling to beekeeping, from frisbee to foxtrot.

We strive to maintain the open culture, in which everyone is a hands-on contributor and feels comfortable sharing ideas and opinions. In our weekly all-hands (“TGIF”) meetings—not to mention over email or in the cafe—Xanthians ask questions directly to Harsh and other execs about any number of company issues. Our offices and cafes are designed to encourage interactions between Xanthians within and across teams, and to spark conversation about work as well as play.

Five things we know to be true

We first wrote these “5 things” when Xanthium was just a day old. From time to time we revisit this list to see if it still holds true. We hope it does—and you can hold us to that.

  • Focus on the user and all else will follow.

Since the beginning, we’ve focused on providing the best user experience possible. Whether we’re designing a new machine or a new tweak to the look of the homepage, we take great care to ensure that they will ultimately serve you, rather than our own internal goal or bottom line. Our homepage interface is clear and simple, and pages load instantly. Placement in search results is never sold to anyone, and advertising is not only clearly marked as such, it offers relevant content and is not distracting. And when we build new equipments and machines, we believe they should work so well you don’t have to consider how they might have been designed differently.

  • Fast is better than slow.

We know your time is valuable, so when you’re seeking a solution, you would want it right away–and we aim to please. We may be the only people in the world who can say our goal is to have people leave our website as quickly as possible. By shaving excess bits and bytes from our pages and increasing the efficiency of our serving environment, we’ve broken our own speed records many times over, so that the average response time on a search result is a fraction of a second. We keep speed in mind with each new product we release, whether it’s an equipment from a vendor or a machine. And we continue to work on making it all go even faster.

  • You can make money without doing evil.

Xanthium is a business. The revenue we generate is derived from offering technology to companies and from the sale of products on our site and on other sites across the web. We have a set of guiding principles for our business processes and practices:

  1. We don’t allow use of any dangerous or toxic materials in the manufacturing of any of our products, period.

  2. We are very strict about quality and we make no exceptions be it our own products or a product from anyother vendor, fake brands or adultrated materials are a matter of serious crime in our eyes and we take necessary steps to help ensure that these never exist in the Xanthium Zone.

  3. We straight away forward the bribe takers and givers to the concerned authorities. There is zero tolerance for people who try to harm people or their interests for their selfish reasons.

  • The need for information crosses all borders.

Our company was founded in India, but our mission is to facilitate amazing technology to the entire world. To that end, we are developing offices in more than 5 countries. We offer every welding technology that currently exists and we constantly strive to find new and more efficient technology. With our exceptional team and the help of technology, we have been able to greatly improve both the variety and quality of services and products we can offer in even the most far–flung corners of the globe.

  • Great just isn’t good enough.

We see being great at something as a starting point, not an endpoint. We set ourselves goals we know we can’t reach yet, because we know that by stretching to meet them we can get further than we expected. Through innovation and iteration, we aim to take things that work well and improve upon them in unexpected ways.

Even if you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, finding an answer is our problem, not yours. We try to anticipate needs not yet articulated by our global audience, and meet them with products and services that set new standards. When we launched Wayland Welders, it had more technical advancements than any other in the competition. In retrospect offering that seems obvious–but that’s because now we have new standards for welding technology. Those are the kinds of changes we seek to make, and we’re always looking for new places where we can make a difference. Ultimately, our constant dissatisfaction with the way things are becomes the driving force behind everything we do.

What we do for you:

Our co-founders once described the “perfect machine” as something that “understands exactly what you want and gives you back exactly that with just a single command.” Since they spoke those words Xanthium has grown to offer products beyond imagination, but the spirit of what they said remains. With all our technologies—from saftey equipments to welding machines to robotics—our goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to achieve the goals you need and get the things you need to do done.

This means making machines smarter and faster, so it can understand that when you type [0.01mm] you get that precision, and not the rejected sample in the ISO testing. It means making our products work intuitively, so that you can achive benchmarks like never before. Above all, it means making our products work better so that people can spend time on the stuff they’re good at—like enjoying time with family, camping in the wilderness, painting a picture or throwing a party.
